How to notify for a leave of absence

If you are going to be away from the board for an extended period of time (no internet, busy semester, vacation, family emergency, etc.), please post a thread here letting us know. This is a simple courtesy that lets other players you are in threads with know you won't be posting for a while. It also lets the staff know you will be away, and that keeps your character(s) from being deleted.
